ATOM AE, 2018-2019, Trav (Essex Minor Hockey)

  The Essex Raven Atom AE squad has defeated the Erie North Shore Storm and the St. Thomas Stars in round robin play to advance to the OMHA quarter finals. Their next opponent will be the New Hamburg Huskies. The six point series will begin in New Hamburg on February 16th and 17th. Play will resume in Essex the following weekend.This group of young men and one special gal has overcome many odds and naysayers to achieve this goal. It has been their heart, soul and effort which has led to this success and they will , I know,strive to continue this march to success. Please come out and root us ...

  The Essex Atom AE squad ventured to Buffalo New York to participate in the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic Tournament Series.     The squad had to brave the outdoor weather elements in this Tournament. It was played in outdoor rinks, an experience that each player will remember for a lifetime. It was noted to team officials that the boards and player benches at the Healthzone rink were those used in the very first outdoor NHL game ever played in Buffalo in 2006 at Ralph Wilson Stadium, a game won by the Pittsburg Penguins 2-1 in OT.  Even the freezing weather couldn't dishearten the team ...

    Over the weekend of November 23rd to November 25th the Atom AE 's participated in their first tournament of the year and came away the winner's of the Capital Cup in Leamington.    

We would like to congratulate everyone who gave such an inspired effort during our tryouts. Hard work will payoff for each and every one of you in your hockey and sporting endeavours.
