PEEWEE AE, 2018-2019, Trav (Essex Minor Hockey)

Sunday, September 23rd the PeeWee AE team got a surprise visit from Brett Oliphant.  Coach Ollie (formerly in the OHL) brought some power skating concepts to the team and answered some questions in the locker room.  All the players worked hard to meet the challenges that Coach Ollie placed for them.  Great work team and thanks very much Coach Oliphant!

First off Coach Schroeder and team would like to thank Bill for getting us started.  He got the ball rolling on many aspects and we will keep it going.  Secondly,  thank you to the coaches that are willing to coach during our games and practices.   Much appreciated!

Effective September 15, Rich Schroeder will assume the head coaching duties.   Bill Kellestine has worked on a plan with Rich and James that covers both the hockey side of things and the administrative requirements for a successful season.  We share many of the same philosophies and they are dedicated and committed to the process and the kids.  

The tryout list has been updated to reflect the players that have been selected.  The decision wasn't easy and each player has shown some strengths and some weaknesses.  If you are not on the final roster there may be an opportunity to sign as an AP, attend some practices and perhaps play games when we have an absence.  If that is the case we will contact you directly in the next day or so.  Regardless of where you play this season, the staff and I want to wish you the best for a fun season.  For those on the list - congratulations... and get ready to work. The following players will be dressing for the exhibition game on Thursday September 6th at 7:00pm in Belle River. Defense Allen, LeBoeuf, Tiessen, Bellaire, Ondracka, Spidalieri Forward Weston, Young, Ash, Gouin, McCrone, Brady, Sauve, O'Keefe, Grant Goal Cowper All other players on the tryout list are expected to be at the game for puck drop and be in the dressing room after the game for a discussion.
