Novice Major, 2016-2017, Trav (Essex Minor Hockey)

Following a split of the first two games played in Grimsby the Ravens hosted games 3 and 4 in Essex on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.  Balmy temperatures welcomed the Grimsby team to Essex and made for a wonderful pre-game social gathering for the parents of both teams.  The large crowd settled in to their seats, the anthem was beautifully sung and the kids were raring to go. 

The series began last weekend in Grimsby where the Ravens lost Game #1 3-2 but battled back in Game #2 to win 3-0.  The series is all tied up 2 points each coming home this weekend.  The kids wants all of you to come out and support them as they try to win an OMHA CHAMPIONSHIP.  Please join us this FRIDAY MARCH 24 @ 7:00pm on the Libro Rink and SATURDAY MARCH 25th @ 2:00pm on the Libro Rink.  Come CHEER this great group of kids on! Following their sweep of Riverside the Ravens found out they would face the Grimsby Kings in the OMHA finals.  

“Belief” is defined as “trust, faith or confidence in someone or something”.   It is synonymous with trust, reliance and confidence.  It is also something prevalent amongst the players of the Essex Ravens Novice Major Hockey team.  The team has trust in their coaches, trust in their teammates and most importantly reliance on one another to accomplish anything they put their minds and bodies to.  The theme of "TEAM" has prevailed throughout the season commencing with the coaches’ first locker room talk of the year.  Every night new players step up and dominate, they support one another, they ...

On Saturday February 25th the Ravens commenced their semi-final series versus Riverside at the WFCU center.  The rink was filled with anticipation and excitement and as Mr. Fuerth said “they are two evenly matched teams!”
