Novice Major, U15 (formerly Bantam), 2011-2012 (Essex Minor Hockey)

Over the past two weekends our Novice Major team played 5 games against regional ‘A’ centres beginning with a match against Southpoint at the WFCU bowl. 

Our Novice Majors had two games this weekend beginning Friday night with a game in Kingsville continuing the rivalry with Erie North Shore.

After going 1-1-1 in the preliminary round, our Novice Majors advanced to the semi-final round of the Southpoint Capital Cup Challenge.   On Sunday morning after a rough start, the team came back from a 3-0 deficeit to tie the game but unfortunately lost in OT.  Great effort Ravens!

 The team had three games this week beginning with a 3-2 loss to Erie North Shore on Thursday followed by a 4-0 defeat against Amherstburg on Saturday.  Matt Deroy made many outstanding saves but the Stars wanted this one more than the Ravens.

After a very successful tournament in St. Thomas last weekend (finalists), the team returned to Bluewater league games this weekend.
