Online Police Checks
All coaching staff and on-ice help will also need to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check police clearance. These can be complete online through the OPP. If you have completed a VSC with EMHA within the last 3 years, please submit a completed

Step 1 : Download and fill-out the Volunteer Letter :

Step 2 : Go to the following link, follow the steps and apply for the Vulnerable Sector Check police clearance (OPP) as a volunteer : Online Police Record Checks
Step 3: Upon receipt of the Police Clearance, please submit to EMHA Director Risk Management, Nick Hayes [email protected]

All bench staff must have the following
• All qualifications listed are the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
• All Team Officials (Coach, Trainer, & Manager) require Respect in Sport (RiS) - Activity Leader or Speak Out
• All Team Officials (Coach, Trainer, & Manager) require Gender Identity & Expression Course
• All Team Officials (Coach, Trainer & Manager) require Hockey University – Planning a Safe Return to Hockey
• All Team Officials must complete Rowan’s Law Resource Review & Acknowledgement
• All qualifications must be registered in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR)
U5 - U9 : Coach 1
Coaches in divisions U9 and Below must hold Coach 1-Intro to Coach - No other qualifications are accepted
U11 - U18 : Coach 2
Both courses will require the completion of the prerequisite Coach - *HU - ONLINE Coach 1/Coach 2
