Libro Credit Union
This is the story of two great credit unions coming together on January 1, 2006. We became United Communities Credit Union following a merger of Heartland Credit Union (1952) and Woodslee Credit Union (1943)- two organizations with a very long history of serving the banking needs of our communities. Today United Communities is one of the largest credit unions in Ontario, serving more than 36,000 member/owners with total assets under administration of $660 million. United Communities offers a full range of banking, borrowing, investment and insurance products and services. We have a long-standing history of making a difference in the communities where our member/owners and employees live and work. From our Farms to Food Banks and Doctor’s Inn initiatives to our substantial financial support of economic development, financial literacy, and environmental sustainability, we’re committed to the ongoing vitality of our communities. United Communities Credit Union is owned and operated by area members, with a board of directors formed of local, elected members. Jim Lynn, President & CEO maintains offices and residences in both regions in keeping with the regional focus of our Credit Union business model.
