The goal of Essex Minor Hockey Association is to provide affordable
programming for all players. Without your help, this wouldn’t be
possible.
WHAT IS IT?
The Fundraiser Raffle is a lottery where
tickets are distributed to each player registered with EMHA (maximum of 2
players per family). There are 5 tickets per book. The donation is $10.00
per ticket. Value of the book is $50.00.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
As part of this EMHA fundraising program, each player (maximum of 2 players per family) is required to contribute a fundraising fee of $50. Each player is given a booklet with 5 - $10 lottery tickets to either to fill out and submit the tickets themselves as a family or they have the option of selling all their tickets to recoup the $50 fee. If the family chooses to sell all their raffle tickets they keep the money from these sales, so in essence this costs you nothing, but helps your association.
Players/parents ask for a $10 donation per ticket in exchange for a chance to win, making back the $50.
WHEN WILL FUNDRAISING RAFFLE TICKETS BE DISTRIBUTED TO MEMBERS?
Tickets will be distributed to players the week of January 8th, 2018. Tickets will be given to team Coaches/Managers who will ensure each player receives one booklet each.
WHEN IS THE DRAW?
**Skaters/parents are responsible to return all ticket stubs to the EMHA Drop Box, located at the Essex arena skate shop no later than February 10th, 2018.**
Returned ticket stubs will be submitted for the final draw that will take place in the lobby at the Essex Centre Spots Complex in Essex on February 11th, 2018 starting at 7:00 pm. To determine the winners, random draws from all eligible entries received will be made on the draw date. Participants are not required to be in attendance. All winners will be contacted by phone, mail or email.

1st Prize: $1500 (1 Winner)
2nd Prize: $500 (2 Winners)
3rd Prize: $250 (8 Winners)
4th Prizes: $ 100 (10 Winners)
5th Prizes: $50 (30 Winners)
A total of 51 prizes will be awarded!
All entries become the sole property of Essex Minor Hockey Association (EMHA) and none will be returned for any reason. All entries must be received during the Fundraising Raffle period. No responsibility is assumed by EMHA or by any of its affiliates for any lost, late, damaged, destroyed, misidentified, illegible or misdirected entries, or for any other such problems occurring in connection with participation in this Fundraising Raffle. The Fundraising Raffle is coordinated by Essex Minor Hockey Association.
