This past weekend, the Essex Ravens Atom Minors headed to St. Thomas to participate in the 2011-12 OMHA playdown tournament. After a successful regular season, the Ravens earned a bye the first round since they ended up with the highest winning percentage of the 5 participating teams.

On Friday January the 13th, the Ravens travelled accross the border to play in the Squirt Minor AA tournament. During the weekend the boys played at different arenas, from Lincoln Park Civic Arena, to Southgate and then to the Ice Box. Having won a huge tournament the previous weekend, the boys knew they would be in for some tougher competition playing in the AA side of the tourney.
